Psychiatric Evaluations

Thorough and comprehensive, we spend time getting to know you and your history before developing an individualized psychiatric treatment plan that will evolve based on your needs and circumstances. We also offer second opinions on complex cases.

Medication Management

After a psychiatric evaluation, we provide regular follow up appointments to make ongoing and necessary adjustments to your treatment plan. Appointment are about 45 minutes long and frequency depends on the individual and circumstances.

Evidence-Based Psychotherapy

After a psychiatric evaluation, psychotherapy may be recommended with or without medication management to help you cope with your condition. Evidence-based psychotherapy can help you implement effective coping skills to manage stress and more.

APRN Supervision

Dr. Lipschitz offers collaborative supervision to newly licensed psychiatric APRNs in the state of Connecticut. Regular supervision can be conducted virtually and may include, but is not limited to, the review of therapies, measures, tests, procedures, and outcomes.

Group Therapy

Weekly co-ed therapy groups for high school students and young adults who are patients at our practice. We meet to facilitate discussions related to shared experiences, provide support for life transitions, and foster connection among the group.

School Liaison & Advocacy

We have experience working with local school districts at the elementary through high school levels to advocate for students who may need extra support in the classroom. We also help college students with accommodation requests.

Our clinicians are all board-certified to treat and prescribe to children, adolescents, and adults dealing with a variety of conditions including:

What To Expect?

We know that seeing a new clinician can be daunting whether this is your first time seeking psychiatric care or you’re switching providers. Our process is simple, straightforward, and we’ll answer any questions along the way.

  1. You call us for a 10-15 minute intake call

  2. Dr. Lipschitz will assign you a clinician based on your needs

  3. You will complete intake documentation in our patient portal

  4. You will attend your initial evaluation appointment(s)

  5. Your clinician will develop and share a treatment plan

Initial evaluations differ depending on each clinical situation and may be 1-2 appointments depending on your circumstances. Treatment plan will include recommendations, follow up appointments (frequency will depend on your needs), referrals to specialists, and more, based on your needs.
